Interim CFO
As part of a €50 million S6 restructuring, a syndicated loan was concluded with five banks without equity injection. Finance, treasury, and reporting systems were implemented for over 20 companies. In addition, corporate governance, committee work, and investor communications were professionalized to support the strategic realignment and stabilization of the company.
Project-related support in Group Accounting
To bridge a staffing gap, we appointed an employee as interim Group Accountant. She participated in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the initial phases of a project to implement the EU Taxonomy.
Interim CFO
As part of a turnaround management during the COVID-19 crisis, monthly cash burn was reduced by 75%. Convertible loans, venture debt, and equity rounds totaling €90 million were successfully completed. The restructuring also included liquidations, the development of a scalable back office, and the implementation of LucaNet, NetSuite, and Moss to support growth.
Implementation of LucaNet and first-time consolidated financial statements
Following a rapid growth phase and the opening of new international locations, our client was required to prepare consolidated financial statements for the first time. As part of this process, we built a group accounting department from scratch with the necessary processes (package, IC reconciliation, etc.) and implemented LucaNet as a consolidation system.
Harmonization of finance processes following a Buy-and-Build by a PE
Following the entry of a private equity investor, we assumed the interim role of commercial MD. As part of a buy-and-build strategy, companies were integrated, a uniform management reporting system was established, unit economics were calculated, and accounting systems and processes were standardized. Furthermore, company-wide compliance structures were introduced to ensure transparency and efficiency during further growth.
